When professional excellence meets social responsibility
Building a More Resilient Community
Robertsons prioritises deep, meaningful, and long-term partnership with organisations whose missions resonate with our people.
We are proud to have collaborated for several years with the Weez Project, an organisation dedicated to raising awareness of youth mental health issues and campaigning to prevent youth suicide in Hong Kong. Beyond pro bono legal services, Robertsons has actively supported the organisation’s annual flagship charity walk, the Weez Walk, by being a sponsor, raising funds, doing the walk, and launching cross-marketing initiatives to amplify its impact. The Walk have brought together the participants to support one another through the 62km coastal trail around Hong Kong Island. Our walking and support teams have been joined by friends across the legal and business sectors, further extending the campaign’s reach. Through firm-wide efforts in support of the campaign, Robertsons has so far raised over HK$550,000 for youth facing mental health challenges.
As part of this long-term collaboration, Robertsons members have been arranged to learn from partnering organisations of the Weez Project about the current mental health landscape in Hong Kong and practical ways to support those around them.
Promoting Holistic Wellbeing
With the belief that a supportive and health-conscious workplace is fundamental to long-term sustainability, Robertsons launched a comprehensive wellbeing seminar series, namely “Vitality Visions 2025”, featuring speakers from both Western and traditional Chinese medicine, as well as a personal coach. The topics covered gastroenterology, gynaecology, cardiovascular disease, chronic pain management, mental health, and interpersonal relationships.
By equipping our people with practical knowledge on physical and mental wellbeing, we are committed to fostering a healthier workplace environment, ultimately cultivating a stronger community capable of facing future challenges.
Sustaining an Age-Inclusive Workforce
Robertsons is a strong advocate of age-inclusive personnel practices. Prioritising the retention of capable employees regardless of age and recognising that many still can and want to offer services beyond retirement, Robertsons has been running a special PRO (Post-Retirement Opportunities) Scheme tailored for these members. The arrangements include flexible working hours and selective workdays, allowing the firm to retain valuable institutional knowledge while offering individuals the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the Robertsons family and benefit from the long-term friendships they have built with us. More broadly, this initiative promotes healthy ageing, reduces societal burden, and sustains economic contribution and labour productivity.
Nurturing Future Legal Talent
Robertsons has been a long-standing scholarships donor to the three universities offering law degrees in Hong Kong. Through this commitment, we actively support the development of the next generation of legal professionals by easing financial barriers and recognising academic excellence. Heartfelt letters of appreciation from scholarship recipients affirm the firm’s value of being part of their journey, and we look forward to witnessing their contributions to the legal industry.
Empowering Deaf Community through Access to Justice
At Robertsons, we are committed to supporting our members in pursuing personal initiatives that serve the community and advance access to justice.
From 2024 to 2025, Robertsons’ Associate, Gladys Wong, collaborated with the Chinese University of Hong Kong on its social impact project “Promoting Deaf Access to Justice: Legal Basics in Hong Kong Sign Language”. Together, they developed a legal databank website featuring Hong Kong Sign Language videos and educational visual graphics to empower the Deaf community with practical knowledge of Hong Kong’s legal system and services. Gladys designed all legal concept visual diagrams on the platform, transforming complex legal principles into accessible and intuitive graphics.
Preserving Cultural Heritage
Robertsons is also delighted to have contributed to the preservation of local culture and supported community engagement.
In 2024, Robertsons was honoured to partner with the theatre production company MQ Musical Theatre and provide pro bono legal services for “Café I Do—The Musical”. This Broadway-style musical paid tribute to Leslie Cheung, the Canto-pop icon who profoundly influenced the cultural landscape of Hong Kong since the 1970s.
Partner with us!
From time to time, our lawyers deliver legal knowledge seminars to the community, covering topics such as Wills and estate planning. These sessions aim to empower citizens with essential legal knowledge and support vulnerable communities.
Additionally, we collaborate with information system vendors on initiatives to reduce energy consumption and paper usage, optimising resource use to create a positive impact on the environment.
Please feel free to reach out to us for any collaborative initiatives.
