Associate

Min is an Associate Solicitor in the Private Equity and Commercial Department, having joined the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2021. 

She advises local and international corporations on a range of corporate transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and joint ventures. She also handles general corporate and commercial matters. Her experience extends to banking and finance, data privacy-focused regulatory compliance, and employment-related matters.

PRIVATE EQUITY & COMMERCIAL

  • Advising various companies on mergers and acquisitions by conducting legal due diligence, drafting and reviewing transaction and ancillary documents, and managing closing and post-closing matters.

  • Assisting complex joint ventures and restructurings and issuing legal opinions on Hong Kong companies and transaction documents.  

BANKING & FINANCE

  • Acting for a Korean securities firm and US investment bank in loan transactions, including preparing the security documents and handling the closing. 

  • Acting for a leading PRC-based investment firm in the mezzanine financing of an Asia-based fitness group, including advising taking of Hong Kong-law governed security and its enforcement. 

LICENSING & COMPLIANCE

  • Advising a Hong Kong subsidiary of a major US firm on data privacy issues in light of potential US investigations and enforcement actions.

  • Advising various multinational companies and banks on the Hong Kong data privacy regime, including drafting and reviewing data transfer agreements and privacy notices. 

EMPLOYMENT  

  • Advising employers and employees on Hong Kong employment issues including termination entitlements and enforceability of restrictive covenants and preparing and reviewing employment contracts and employee handbooks.
