Charlotte is an Associate Solicitor in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and was a trainee solicitor with the firm in 2021 prior to her admission.

She practices in various areas related to civil and commercial litigation, including corporate disputes, debt recovery as well as bankruptcy matters.

She also handles criminal and commercial crime, contentious probate proceedings and actions for financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Ordinance, Cap. 481.

  • Represented an employer company in successfully defending the majority of the employment claims initiated by its employee 
  • Advising and representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings. Assisted estate administrators in successfully obtaining a bankruptcy order against the debtor
  • Advising and representing clients in initiating claims involving breach of contract, tortious liability and breach of fiduciary duty

CRIMINAL & COMMERCIAL CRIME

  • Successfully defended a client charged with taking part in unlawful assembly
  • Represented a client facing multiple bribery charges brought by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, successfully reaching a satisfactory plea bargain arrangement with the Department of Justice
  • Advising clients on arrests, cautioned interviews, bind-overs, witness statements and non-prejudicial statements
  • Assisted clients with bail applications and applications to vary bail conditions in the High Court
  • Advising and representing clients in departmental Summons cases, including offences under the Summary Offences Ordinance
  • Successfully achieved a withdrawal of Summons by the Prosecution and successfully appealed against sentence for clients facing offences issued by Summons
