The Partners of Robertsons are delighted to announce the appointment of our litigation partner, Li Chung Nam, as a China-Appointed Attesting Officer (“CAAO”) by the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China. 

Nam was officially appointed on 25^th December 2015 and attended a Conferment Ceremony in Zhuhai on 7^th January 2016.  To facilitate a better understanding of the institution of China attestation, the Association of China-Appointed Attesting Officers Limited, the China Legal Service (Hong Kong) Limited, the Liaison Office of The Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and other authorities in the PRC organised a monographic study course in Beijing in May 2016.  It was an intensive course for all of the newly appointed CAAOs to attend a 5-day curriculum in the Chinese Academy of Governance covering a wide diversity of topics in relation to the economic development of the PRC and the rapid legal and administrative developments of attestation work in the PRC. 

Nam has commenced her practice as a CAAO in August 2016 and is ready to serve clients in need of attestation services.
